Marla Ann Dotson A beloved aunt and friend, she passed away, age 84, in the home of her niece. He was born August 20, 1929, in the Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, the first-born child of Marion Claud MC Shireman and Yvonne Shireman (nee Martha Stade). What follows is from the Vista Hall ofFame booklet.Bernard Bernie Rappaport, a veteran ofWorld War II, his wife, Lenore, and three children;Gideon, Hannah, and Sharon moved to Vistafrom Los Angeles in 1969. Always grateful and with such grace, Chauny was our prayer Dode is survived by his daughter, Diane Foust; granddaughters, Tammy Simpson (Paul), Tracy Rogers (Scott), Tora Schilling (Mark); seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 19th 2023 at 3:00 PM at the same location. Derek Twilliger, Nichole (Michael) Golovich, grandchildren Angelica, David, Alexandra, Glenn J, Giuliana, Brianna, Ma, Jada, Ella. aunts and uncles, cousins and nephews . They had three children, Ginni, Matthew, and Carrie. In 1969 she married the love of her life Mr. Frank Nelson. Mary will be remembered for many things but mainly for her love of giving back, always having several knitting or sewing projects on the go for the benefit of the Shriners Hospitals for Children or other causes or friends. Ed worked a few jobs after his retirement before he was hired by the City of Vista on a temporary hire a vet program. After his father retired, Ray continued the business as Betraun Construction Company, and Shirley worked with him as office manager and bookkeeper. She had a life well-lived and she was well-loved.. He graduated from Vista High School, where he met his wife Bonney. She had incredible perseverance and was a shining light of hope and strength to those around her, especially her family. Share a memory, offer a condolence. A service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 700 E. Bobier Drive, Vista at 12:30 pm on Sunday, July 14thto celebrate her life. Marla is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephewsall of whom loved her very very much. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Ridgeview Church in Valley Center in JDs name. She was Chairman of the Board for Renal Support Network, a national advocacy group for kidney patients.
